Frequently asked questions
What happens after my 200 free photos for the week?
Your free allowance resets every Sunday at midnight, local time. You can keep going next week for free, or unlock Lifetime inside the app for unlimited reviewing.
What counts toward the weekly limit?
Only photos and videos you keep or delete in a confirmed batch. Going back, adding to Favorites, and browsing the Albums tab don't count.
Is Lifetime a subscription?
No. Lifetime is a single one-time purchase made in the app. There are no recurring charges and nothing to cancel.
How do I restore my purchase on a new device?
Open Butterfly, go to Settings, and tap Restore Purchases while signed in with the Apple ID you bought it with.
Is Lifetime really lifetime?
Yes. One payment unlocks unlimited cleanup for as long as Butterfly is available, including all future updates.
Can I get a refund?
Purchases are processed by Apple, so refunds are handled by Apple too. You can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
